Northland DHB choose Delphic Multilab system

Continuing the global trend of regionalisation and shared services, Northland DHB has opted to join the Auckland DHB LabPLUS, Delphic LIS.

This collaboration is a great step forward, and due to shared ownership and regional standardisation, the change to the Delphic Multilab system brings the following benefits to improve patient care:

  • reduced clinical risk
  • reduced data entry
  • reduced duplication
  • reduced errors
  • and reduced costs

The Northland DHB’s four hospitals Whangarei, Dargaville, Bay of Islands and Kaitaia service the entire northland region of New Zealand. All four sites plan to be linked to the Sysmex Delphic LIS by mid 2013 which will replace the outgoing Galen LIS.

Now on the latest release of version 8.5, the Delphic LIS was implemented at the Auckland DHB LabPLUS site in 1985.

The Sysmex Delphic Multilab LIS is widely used in other New Zealand and Canadian laboratories.
