Eclair FHIR API

Eclair’s FHIR API provides secure, read-only access to patient diagnostic data stored in the Eclair repository for trusted solutions.

Built using the industry interoperability standard FHIR, our API offers an efficient, standards-based means to retrieve data from the Eclair database. Information is retrieved as FHIR “resources”, which are discrete units of data that can be utilised within third party applications. These resources include patient details, diagnostic reports, observations, and other relevant data. The FHIR API also provides external systems with an interface to electronically order lab requests.

Our solution is centered around a FHIR facade server, implemented on top of the Eclair database. It serves as a single point of integration for authorised third-party apps to query the Eclair database using a read-only HL7 FHIR API, without requiring extensive integration with the Eclair system.

OAuth2 authorisation

Eclair’s FHIR API is secured with OAuth2 based authorisation. This means that a valid OAuth2 access token is required to access our FHIR API, which can be obtained via an authorised client ID and client secret provided by the Eclair system.

FHIR API sandbox environment

Sysmex offers a sandbox/test environment populated with test patient data, allowing third parties to safely test their integration with the FHIR API.

If you would like to find out more about Sysmex’s FHIR API solution or sandbox environment, please contact us at info@sysmex.co.nz. The team at Sysmex New Zealand will reach out for further information.
